Just days away from receiving her well-deserved Billboard Icon Award at next week’s Women in Music Awards, music legend Bonnie Raitt has delivered the initial taste of her forthcoming eighteenth studio album in the form of her new single “Made Up Mind.” Slated for release April 22nd courtesy of her Redwing Records imprint, Just Like That… follows 2016’s Dig In Deep and finds the ever-adventurous Raitt exploring new sounds and themes, fifty years on since the release of her eponymous debut album Bonnie Raitt in 1971.

“On this record, I wanted to stretch,” Raitt explains in an official statement. “I always want to find songs that excite me, and what’s different this time is that I’ve tried some styles and topics I haven’t touched on before.”

Raitt will embark upon an eight-month U.S. tour beginning March 28th in Modesto, CA and concluding November 19th in Clearwater, FL, with Mavis Staples and Lucinda Williams among the special guests that will accompany her on the road.

“I’m really aware of how lucky I am,” Raitt continues, “and I feel like it’s my responsibility to get out there and say something fresh and new—for me and for the fans. But I need to have something to say or I won’t put out a record.”
