It’s always a great day when we’re blessed with new music and visuals from the dynamic duo of Klara and Johanna Söderberg, collectively known as First Aid Kit. The Swedish sisters’ signature, soaring vocal harmonies and knack for rich melodies are on glorious display once again on their recently released single “It’s a Shame.” And today, the duo has proudly shared the Mats Udd directed video inspired by the underappreciated, Gwyneth Paltrow starring film Sliding Doors (1998).

“We went to Los Angeles last spring and spent five weeks there writing,” the pair explains in an official statement. “It was a tough time for the both of us. We were in this beautiful sunny place, but mostly felt sad and lonely. ‘It's a Shame’ is a song about the emptiness and desperation you feel after a relationship has come to an end. How you will go to great lengths just to numb the pain and feel less lonely.”

No news yet about the forthcoming follow-up to 2014’s brilliant Stay Gold LP, but we imagine that a formal announcement about their upcoming fourth studio album will arrive soon enough. In the meantime, the group has announced plans for a 2018 North American headlining tour that begins January 24th at Oakland's Fox Theater.
