Barry Can’t Swim (a.k.a. Joshua Mainnie) has released his second studio album Loner on July 11th courtesy of Ninja Tune. The follow-up to his Mercury Prize-nominated debut album When Will We Land? (2023), the new LP is preceded by a handful of singles that have surfaced over the past few months, including “The Person You’d Like To Be,” “Different,” “Kimpton,” “About To Begin,” “Cars Pass By Like Childhood Sweethearts,” and “All My Friends.”

“If my first album was a collage of all the music I loved and was inspired by growing up, then this album is the most authentic expression I could offer of myself and my life over the past year,” the Scottish DJ-producer shares in an official statement.

To support the album, Barry Can’t Swim will play a series of festival and solo tour dates beginning July 10th at the NOS Alive Festival in Oeiras, Portugal.
